A descriptive work about the beauty and grandeur of the Cathedral.  With at first hints and using bits and pieces of "A Mighty Fortress is our God" the piece comes to a rousing conclusion with a signal statement of the tune.

  • Entomology

A grade 3 novelty piece that introduce syncopated and 6/8 rhythms in an off kiltered way.
Starting from the opening chant in the band to the beautiful 6/8 chorale in the middle and rousing finale.  (Also affords ample opportunities for soloists throughout your band)

  • Attack of the Deranged Panda

Another one of the dezien's of the band hall series.  The piece opens depicting a quiet peaceful scene of bamboo shoots and Pandas. After a foreshadowing of the horror that is to come the deranged panda bursts onto the scene.  A chase ensues as you try to get away, but time and time again the Panda finds you.

  • Horizon's of Tomorrow

Written for the 2011 PlanoISD convocation. this piece begins with a dramatic opening statement before settling into an exciting look to the future. A song of hope and new beginnings.

  • Ironhorse

Ironhorse is another name for a train. The term was especially used during the early days of America and manifest destiny. This piece begins with depicting the train already in motion, gliding effortlessly over the terrain. The middle section interprets the beauty of the surroundings, as the train travels through mountains and prairies. The work continues, returning to the upbeat rhythms from the beginning, before concluding with the train’s grand entrance to its final destination of the trip.

  • Nimbus

"Imagine a soundtrack to your best day. A day filled with action and reward, of realized dreams and success, of love and happiness, a cool breeze and the warm kiss of glowing sunlight on your face. This is the feeling created by Nimbus. A soaring rumination on fanciful clouds of joy, Nimbus allow the listener to rise into an imaginary sky conveying the thrills of soaring with the eagles and soft sensation of riding the winds
in emotional escape. Experience the unbridled joy of breaking the cloud tops and being surrounded by the warm glow of sunlight, pausing as you float with the clouds examining the world from a new fresh perspective. Challenges seem small from this place, the heart is emboldenend and the soul is refreshed. The soft glow that in the classical mythology surrounded the greatest deities eminates not from the sun, or some ancient demi god, but from within the traveler. Nimbus."

  • Parasols, Umbrellas, and Bumbershoots

A three movement suite very much in the tongue and cheek vain.  Taken from three different names for umbrellas, beginning with the waltz "Parasol" then poginant "Umbrellas" and ending with the rousing dixieland like "Bumbershoots" it will have your audiences toe tapping for sure.

  • Onslaught

Written for our combined High School - 8th grade concert, as the name implies an assault to the senses, in the middle a short repast to catch your breath before the final attack.
