Simian Saga: It is morning on the African savannah and all is peaceful. Peace is then broken when the cheetahs attack a tribe of chimpanzees. After the initial mayhem, the chimpanzees regroup, defend themselves, and emerge victorious.

White Plains, Winter Nights depicts freshly fallen snow on an expansive open plain. Picturesque colors in the band give the aural illusion of this icy wonderland. This is an interesting piece for the middle of a concert.

As September Ends is a tribute to the men, women and children who lost their lives on 9/11 as well as the brave people who gave their lives and the heroes that responded to the emergency. This piece speaks to the strength and perseverance of our country during the tumultuous time, and the ability to move past September and emerge a stronger nation.

Based on the mathmetical concept of Pi, the melody is derived from that sequence as used on a scale. Piece also has a short around the circle of 5ths and the middle section is of course in a round. Quirky little piece that your kids are sure to enjoy.
